How to Apply to Study at Geneva Business School
A step-by-step guide to starting the application process for studying at Geneva Business School
To make the application process as simple as possible, the four steps all candidates must take to join one of our programs have been outlined:
- Submit your application
- Meet your Admissions officer
- Provide documentation
- Attend academic interview
1- Submit your application
The first step you’ll need to complete is filling out the application form. We only need some basic information from you at this stage:
- Your contact information.
- Your chosen program and campus.
- Your initial start date
We have undergraduate and postgraduate programs available on each of our campuses: in Geneva, Barcelona, and Madrid. Follow the links below for more information about each of our locations.
2 – Meet your Admissions Officer
Once your initial application has been received, a member of our Admissions team will reach out to you through email to begin a conversation and help you through the next steps in the application process. Candidates are also welcome to visit the campus and receive a campus tour with their Admissions officer.
For all questions you have at this stage, your dedicated Admissions officer will be happy to help you.
3 – Provide Documentation
At this stage, your Admissions officer will need some documentation from you. Please note that these documents cannot be submitted through our website – you will need to send them directly to your Admissions officer.
Full details of our entry requirements for each program can be found on the programs pages:
- Bachelor of International Management
- Master of International Management
- Master of Business Administration
- Doctorate of Business Administration
Here is the list of documents that are required for your application:
A scanned copy of all required academic diplomas, transcripts, and academic certificates
For bachelor’s candidates, we will require your high school diploma and grade transcripts. For master’s and MBA candidates, a copy of your bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required. We accept documents in English, Spanish or French. Otherwise, please have them officially translated into English.
Proof of English language proficiency
We provide our business education exclusively in English to a highly diverse student body. Therefore, we must be certain that all of our students have a high level of English. For students who are native English speakers, or for those who have studied in an English-language international school for at least 3 years, no test results will be needed.
A reference letter from a former teacher or employer.
A copy of your passport or national ID.
Business case study
As part of our application process, candidates are required to write a 500-word response to a business case study. This will be a real-world situation for you to analyze from a business perspective, along with a few questions for you to answer. You can find an example of a case study for bachelor’s candidates here, and also for master’s and MBA candidates here.
We have also published advice on how to properly answer this type of assignment in our blog post, What is a business case study?
Once we have received each of these documents, we can move forward with your application. It is also at this stage that the application fee of €150 should be paid. Your Admissions officer will provide you with a payment method.
4 – Academic Interview
Once we have received your documents, we will then move to the online interview stage.
This interview is conducted between you and a representative of our academic team. This interview is a chance to review your responses to the case study, discuss your motivations for studying at Geneva Business School, and learn more about you before you join our student body.
Once the interview has been completed, the Admissions Committee will then fully review your application to Geneva Business School. Your Admissions officer will contact you to confirm the success of your application within 3 business days. Successful applicants will be provided with a conditional admissions letter.
