A Duolingo English Test-imonial…
In Geneva, Christiana Panagakou, sat the Duolingo English Test to help understand the process for prospective students who would like to take it. Christiana, who is also a Geneva Business School Alumna, recently applied for a Master’s program. Christiana sat a TOEFL exam in person in early February in Geneva and said that her results from both tests were identical!
Her impressions were one of great user experience, with a gamified feel much like the Duolingo language learning app. She found the test strict with timing and remarked that the camera is on for the duration of the test. The content was modern, relevant, and clear, and the results accurate.
Duolingo is definitely a quicker, more user-friendly exam, with more modern types of exercises. It also issues the results sooner than TOEFL
