Anna Ruiz

Dr. Anna Ruiz holds a PhD in Private international law summa cum laude (specialised in Cross Border Competition law matters in the International Trade and EU Private International law) and a LLM in International Business Law (Complutense University of Madrid). She is also a Qualified Solicitor at the Madrid Bar Association since 2009. She was a Research Fellow Scholarship of the Complutense University of Madrid, and of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition law in Munich.
Currently, she is a Lecturer in International Business Law and Corporate law, and Research Fellow at Geneva Business School and at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She combines her academic work with the legal practice, as legal advisor for Law Firms devoted to Family Private International Law and International Business Law. She is also a member of several European and International organizations wherein she is contributing and participating as Scholar and legal expert, such as OXIO Oxford International Organizations (Oxford University Press), the International Competition Network (non governmental advisor), the Osservatorio Antitrust, the European Association of Private International Law.
Recently, she was shortlisted in a merit based competition, to perform the Bluebook program at the Directorate General JUST of the European Commission within the Unit of Consumers and Marketing Law in the internal market in Brussels (Belgium). Her main legal specializations are Private International Law, International Trade and Business Law, CSR, Competition and Consumer Law and Human Rights.
